Liquid Filtration
Filtercorp's Liquid Filtration product range covers three basic categories.
Pressure Filter Vessels and Bags
These are an in line filter body incorporating a filter bag in micron ratings from 1 to 2000.
- Bags are available in micron rated needlefelts as well as micron rated mono mesh.
- Felts are used for high flow rate polishing filters whereas wovens tend to be used for straining.
- Filtercorp manufacture the housings in both carbon steel and stainless steel to food grade requirements.
- Replacement filter bags are manufactured in both Auckland and Christchurch.
Filter Bags
We have a large range of both monomesh and calibrated strainer felt (CSF) medias.
These fabrics can be manufactured into a wide range of shapes and sizing. By using tapes rings or steel rod, they can be made to form almost any size or shape.
Typical applications:
- Water / septic tanks
- Alcohol
- Resins
- Paint
- Storm water
- Milk
Fibres available:
- Nylon
- Polypropelyne
- Polyester
Micron Ratings:
Medias are available in micron sizes ranging from sub 1 micron to 3000 micron.
Filter Press Cloth
We manufacture filter press cloths for all popular brands of filter presses. Fibres include:
- polypropylene
- polyester
- nylon
- kynar.
Typical applications include: clay, sugar, butter oil, salt, paper pulp.
Belt Filters
- Filter belts are custom designed to meet individual applications and are suitable for use with Belt Presses, Horizontal Belt and Rotary Vacuum filters, dewatering all types of flocculated and non-floccuated effluent sludges, or for the recovery of process solids.
- The belts are constructed utilising weave designs incorporating high void volume techniques that allow maximum water drainage and solids retention. The resultant performance is increased dimensional stability and resistance to creasing, a major problem with belts of lighter construction.
